We're excited to announce that Addressable now covers the Nordics. Joining Sweden, we've added six new countries and territories: Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Greenland.
Our Nordic address data comes from the Overture Maps Foundation, an open map data project that aggregates authoritative open data from national mapping and registry authorities. That means you get the same high quality and reliability you expect from Addressable, backed by sources covered under permissive open licences.
All six countries are sourced through Overture's open address data. Full source and licence details for each country are listed in the Overture Maps attribution documentation.
Every country supports both autocomplete and reverse geocoding. Use the country codes no, dk, fi, is, fo and gl in your API requests. See the full field lists in our API documentation.
All Nordic address data is stored and processed on servers located in Europe. Requests via api.addressable.dev are routed through these servers to ensure compliance with data protection regulations. We update the datasets weekly to keep accuracy and coverage high.
If you're on an Addressable Large plan, all of the Nordic countries are already included — no changes needed. If you're on a Small plan, you can select your country from your account page. Visit our API documentation for details on using the autocomplete and reverse geocoding endpoints.
